What this site collects, which is very little, and what we do with it.

Who is responsible

The controller of any personal data processed through this site is aerovalen. Write to hello@aerovalen.com for anything in this notice, including a request to exercise your rights.

What the form collects

The contact form asks for a name, an email address, a subject and a message, and records the consent tick. Nothing else is requested. Please do not send us health data, identity documents or other sensitive information; we have no use for it.

Purpose and legal basis

Form data is used only to read your message and to answer it. The legal basis is your consent, given when you send the form, and our legitimate interest in maintaining a correct and current guide. Consent may be withdrawn at any time, which does not affect processing already carried out.

How long it is kept

Messages are kept for up to twenty-four months and then deleted. A correction that changes an entry is recorded in editorial notes without the sender's contact details, unless the sender asked to be credited.

Server logs

The hosting provider records standard technical data when a page is served: an IP address, a timestamp, the page requested, the referring address and a browser identifier. These logs exist for security and for the stability of the site, are kept for a short period, and are not used to build a profile of any reader.

No tracking

This site runs no analytics, no tracking scripts, no advertising pixels and no third-party cookies. It sets no cookies of its own. It contains no JavaScript at all: every page is HTML and CSS, which is also why there is nothing here that can follow you between pages or between sites.

Hosting and processors

Pages are served by a hosting provider acting as a processor under a data processing agreement, and email is handled by a mail provider on the same basis. No other processor is involved, and no data is sold, rented or shared for marketing.

International transfers

The editorial team works from more than one country, so a message may be read outside the country where it was sent. Where a transfer leaves the European Economic Area, it is made on the basis of an adequacy decision or of standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You may ask for access to your data, for correction of it, for its deletion, for restriction of processing, for portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to hello@aerovalen.com and we will answer within one month. You also have the right to complain to the supervisory authority for data protection in the country where you live or work.
